Terms Of Use:

By engaging to rent Island Station Media Lab, herein referred to as “ISML,” you, the undersigned, herein referred to as the “Renter”, state that you have read, fully understand and agree to be bound by the following conditions:

Rates:

Full day rental periods are 10 hours. Half-day rental periods are 5 hours. Hourly rental is 60 minutes. Weekly rental periods are 5 consecutive 10-hour days. Studio clean up must be completed within the rental period. Renter’s time begins  at agreed starting time and ends at agreed finish time.

Payments:

Renter will provide payment in US funds. Renter’s who hold a date may be required to pay a deposit of up to half of expected final bill.. Payment is refundable if notice to cancel is made within 72 hours of Renter’s reservation time. Final payment is due upon completion of shoot.

Arrival:

The lease shall start and end as set forth in this Agreement; set-up and clean-up time must take place during hours set forth in this Agreement.

Conduct Within the Studio:

The studio may be used for legal business activities only. For safety purpose, NO SMOKING or ALCOHOL is permitted. Smoking is allowed outside the building.

Be alert and mindful of the environment during the rental. Keep the event or session contained within the studio. Maintain adult supervision of minors and pets at all times. Clean up trash or other items on premises prior to leaving. Be prepared to take with you anything which you brought to the studio.

Studio Equipment and Facility:

ISML agrees to provide the studio in good working order but makes no special guarantees as to said studios functionality or suitability to Renter’s purposes. The Renter is entitled to use the entire studio, lighting equipment, props and any furniture in the studio at the time of rental. ISML is not liable for acts out of its control that affect the shoot, such as power outages, weather, emergencies, or Acts of God. Renter agrees to return all equipment, studio, and furniture in the condition it was provided and to immediately notify ISML of any damage, failure, or change in equipment provided.

Damage to Equipment, Studio:

Renter agrees to pay for any repair or replacement costs of equipment, furniture, or studio that Renter damages within 3 business days. In the event that the Renter’s employees, Renter’s contractors, Renter’s clients, or any and all Renter’s visitors damage any equipment or studio, Renter agrees to pay for any repairs or replacements necessary within 3 business days. Renter agrees to leave the studio in the condition it was found.

There is no warranty that rented items are free of defects.

The Renter agrees that ISML holds no liability for any damage or injury caused by use of rental items to Renter or any third party. The Renter assumes all risk of personal property damage or personal injury. If any accident involving the Studio’s rental items has occurred while it is in the Renter’s possession, Renter shall make ISML aware by written statement of details of occurrence of event including police report and names and addresses of witnesses, if applicable.

Liability:

Renter agrees to get a signed Liability Release from all persons that will be on the premises prior to use of studio. ISML will not be held liable for any injuries or accidents to the Renter, Renter’s employees, Renter’s contractors, Renter’s clients, or any and all Renter’s visitors that occur within or outside the studio premises.

Use of the Studio Requires the Following:

The premises are to be used for the purpose of a photography/videography/audio studio, including such activities, as are necessary and usually incidental to such use. ISML shall have the right to inspect the equipment, studio, and furniture at any time during the rental term. Renter shall make any and all arrangements necessary to permit a representative of ISML access to the equipment and studio. If a breach of any of the provisions of the Rental Agreement occurs, ISML has the right to revoke Renter’s access to the equipment and studio without any liability to and without prejudice to ISML, the right to receive rent due or accrued to and including date of revocation.

Returned checks will incur additional charges including but not exceeding all bank fees plus $25 processing fee.

If equipment, furniture, or studio is ordered and delivered, but not used, no refund will be approved. Refund requests must be made in writing and will be responded to promptly by management.
